ok here it goes so i have had my festiva for almost 2 years now she has came along way ,first off i named her peanut. My girl friend (Megan) bought me this car for my 18th birth day for five hundred bucks. At the time i had no idea that this wonderful sight exist, so after i brought it home and got it legal, I discovered that it need a new gas tank (leaked at any thing over half full) I put up with this for a wile till i kept running out of gas. that gas gage also didn't work. But here it is in all its glory, the day i got it .... I tented one window at my birth day fish fry.
and here it is at my grandmas after i tinted the windows and painted the hood
my first grill mod
then i tinted the tail lights
\
then it tried to run a way from me and hit my car trailer
and that when i started to fix her up for paint
removed the carpet for a washing and bedlined the floor to keep it from rusting.
and a little bit of presser washing
escort consal with 150w power inverter
vent gages
trailer hitch install
more body work
finly new tank
capri side skirts
almost ready for paint
fresh paint
wish i had some motor pics but its a b6d on the stock trans I have be getting around 38 mpg combined and its a blast to drive and turns a few heads at stop lights lol
thinks for looking....
,William

Great work William! That's a well rounded package of show and go. Do you have any particular wheels in mind?Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

That is AMAZING! I love the accent line delete down the side of the body. I was going crazy trying to figure out how to replicate it when welding in my new wheel wells, but now that I see how good it looks when gone, I won't even bother. Thanks for the idea!1990 White L-Plus 5-speed rust-machine

Well here is my entry. I bought this car two years ago for around $800. It was (still is) my first car, and if i'm honest, it's the best purchase I've ever made. It was a Pennsylvania car, but it has almost no rust at all. It's a clean '93 L. Only 110,000 miles when I bought it, but it was a little worn.
This picture is from the craigslist ad. Admittedly, the picture makes it look a little better than it was. Although this was definitely a clean car to begin with, the paint was awfully faded, and the plastic bumpers weren't much better. Mechanically, the B3 ran strong, but the suspension had seen better days. In addition, the interior was disgusting and plagued with the smell of cigarettes.
Here it as after I polished the paint, and applied some restore black to the bumpers. I also sprayed the grille black, as it was easier than color matching the faded red.
Added rear mudflaps, rear wiper, and 13" geo metro wheels.
Light tint to the windows, rear wiper "Down position" mod, a Honda Civic spoiler with a 3rd brake light, and Ford Escort power mirrors.
This is the most recent picture of the interior I have. As of now, it sports a White Tach cluster, escort console, escort dome light, rear hatch cover, 5.25" door speakers, 6.5" rear speakers, and a Pioneer head unit.
Pulled the B3 out.
Dropped a BP in.
This is how the car sits now. Aspire swap front and rear, 14" Miata alloys, clear corners, and clear turn signals. I'm sure I'm missing a ton of things, as it's an ongoing project. When I bought this car two years ago, I never expected it to have come as far as it has. I didn't know how to change spark plugs, yet somehow I've managed an engine and brake swap just two years later. It never lets me down, and even treated me to 50mpg on a 1,000 mile trip. Rather impressive that these cars can still achieve those numbers. I've learned so much on this car, and I'm proud of the result. It may not be a perfect show car, but it's worth everything I've put into it.
