This month we have 3 entries for FOTM and they are from

Here are the entries again starting with Ernst's

We just bought this last February 2012 coz she wanted to buy her first ride that is not expensive but can be reliable in a daily drive basis to her work and home. She planned to have a Pride before coz she's curious of how I choose to have that kind of car. We inspired her together w/ my friends who has the same passion as I am. And that month of February she bought her own. She named it Coachy that came from her designer wallet Coach.

Here it is when we bought him. Actually, did already restored him back to its stock condition. Clean and simple looking. Got him too here w/ a low pro tires,50 series.

After a month , we bought him an oldschool mags, newly refurbished. We installed too fiber copy door guards and foglights.Still in stock height here.

A month again passed, I dropped him for a good looking stance. Scraped also top of the bumpers that somewhat gave the car a Euro look with the spray paint flat black. That's to make it clean looking also.

Then we had him last month a chin. It's one of a kind chin and developed for a stock Pride/ Festiva bumper by yours truly. I want to give the car a more aggressive look at the front. Modified also the grill for a more sporty look. Added some gtx decals too. Here's now his present condition...

That's the look for now. As time passes, it still change. More plans for this car of ours.

    HondaSlayer's entry

Ill start off by saying i love my car. I have loved it every day since i pulled it out of a field 7 years ago when it was full of scrap. Soon after i started driving i found FF.com and festiva motorsports.com and went to town. i ordered springs and struts from them along with carpet and a short shifter and a strut brace. i got the spring, struts and carpet but the other stuff was backordered so i canclled them. i must admit when i was 16-18 i beat the crap out of my poor little car. but it never let me sit anywhere. even when the clutch blew into 2 pieces i still drove 9 miles home. it has had a body kit i found at harrys u pull it and it was in pieces so i duct taped it together and put it on. i dont have pictures but imagine a black spray painted festiva with a yellow and silver body-kit and gold 12 inch steelies. i got alot of looks. well i started growing up alittle.(still not that much ). i started to get it fixed up again. well cant say much till more recent because it was just driving it and not doing much.

well recently i wanted a motor swap in the worst way. i was searching the forums and getting info on what swaps to go and how hared they were because im colorblind and cant wire very good.well after some looking and whatnot i came across a whole car from an unfortunate accident. well after hundreds of texts i finally made a deal to get the whole car. so i started to get everything ready to go pick it up. wewll here is a picture of the shebeast i drove 4.5 hours to west virgina and back for a totla of 9 hours on the road

well it was all worth it in the end because this it what i returned with.

well it was timee to get to work and switch everything over. i put both cars in the 2 car garage and got to work.

i switched everything from hulk to my car in a period of 1 week. i had help from my one friend and some machinery. it was very frustrating at some points.

but i kept on going and when i heard the sound of start up i was so happy. and im going to have to cut this short because of a storm but i will get it over with.

i painted the car white and have never been happier with any other car. here are some pictures of my car and the hitch setup i made for it from a volve hitch.

i have lots more to say about my precios car but dont want to lose everything i typed because of the storm so it will have to do. thanks for looking.

      And 500dollarfestiva's entry

When I first bought it, it wouldnt really drive because it didnt have enough power, so i towed it. When I got it home around 10 PM i got carried away and worked on it until about 2 in the morning. I checked the spark plugs and gapped them back to specs, i also checked the compression and it was all good expect for cylinder 2. I ran some more tests and decided i will deal with that later. I took the valve cover off and adjusted the valves back to specs, some were off quite a bit. It idled real high so i brought it down to about 750 or 800 RPM's. I proceeded to the timing, it was off a bit so i set it back. This helped alot. When i bought it, it had no choke plate so i went to the junk yard and the Festiva there was picked to the bone so i got one off of a isuzu impulse. The screws were still in the choke plate holder so i had to drill them out. I re-threaded them to fit some screws i had, the screws were too long so i ground them down.

I hope to make it into a tuner soon. Have some sweet bumpers. Maybe a engine swap. Paint it red or black. The A/C has been disconnected by the previous owner, the compressor and everything is missing. I want to fix all that. My O2 sensor is disconnected so i will repair that. A few odds and ends. This will be my Daily Driver!

                FOTM

Ernest definitely deserves to win somewhere along the way. I do enjoy HondaSlayer's down-home approach to putting things together with everything but money.

We had a competition a few months back for FOTM and he pulled out in front that time. I do agree that his cars are much nicer than mine on every level though. I just wish i had more money to work with. But I do what I can

Flooding must be pretty common there. Well, atleast Coachy is in good hands. It saddens me to think of all the good cars that must go to scrap after the flood is gone. We'd make good use of a couple flooded Pride sedans and 4 doors here.

It hasn't rained around here in a dog's age! This year's corn crop looks like cactus shoots sticking out of the ground. I guess all that missing water is falling in your neck of the woods. Send some over here, please.
