Many of you have heard me write or talk about my 93 auto "Rosie", well here she is.

This is how she looked the night I bought her. Paid a whopping 650 bucks for this lovely girl. She was solid, a few dents, but mechanically two wheels in the salvage yard. Her P.O. was driving her daily into the ground and he knew it. He was a Festiva lover, and this car along with several other festivas had been in his family since new. He wants another one, but a manual trans car. I think he felt good selling her to someone who would care for her, and the love started the day she came to me.
Heres a list of what I've done so far.

    Cleaned, cleaned, cleaned!
New copper dual core radiator (her radiator was half plugged with stop leak)
factory auto radiator fan and shroud (thanks Arty!) because hers was missing
rubber accordion intake pipe from the salvage yard, hers was cracked
    New thermostat, coolant flush.
    tranny flush
new cd player, and speakers (all 4! yay!)
good used dash bezel (thanks Max!)
New trans mounts, front and rear (rear was a PTA)
used brake pads (she's getting tweaks old capri swap when I get around to it)
spark plugs (the old ones were horrific, can't believe she even ran!)
O.Z. rally edition wheels with 165 45 15" Federal formoza tires

She still needs a lot of work, but at least she runs good and is reliable now. In the near future she is getting a B6t mounted to the auto tranny, capri brakes, advance suspension system, rebuilt steering rack and LX interior (she is a GL with A/C).

This is my Festiva. Untitled (Festiva)
This was originally my fathers, until he passes, and it was siting at our house.
We moved it to my step dad's farm in 2004 I think. I remember the trip. warm summers day, and The first time I got to sit in the front seat!
It sat there for many years, '09 I think when my friend came and looked at it. He did some looking and found out that it needs a new fuel pump. So my step dad bought one and I put it in all by my self! Then I drove it around my farm. IT was awesome. I immediately realized that Manuals are the way to go. It slowly started to get some engine problems. Electrical probably because of the mice living in it.
So I tinkered with it. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.
Then during my summer break of '10 I painted it green with the light green stripes.

Then the next summer me and my friend went to pull a part and bought a door for it.
I managed to do a bad job putting it on though...

So then this summer I started prepping it to drive. working on the interior and the body.
But in the mean time I managed to put a small dent in it.

    But over time fixed it.

And then I put in new carpet and blackend the interior.... Carpet was FUN!

And then I did the joyus task of painting.

And lastly me and my step dad hauled it away to the motor shop.

And the random gas station pic!

It has successfully been fixed at the motor shop... it turned out it needed a new alternator and a new battery and the radiator needed rewiring.

Now it is at the body shop to do some final touchups inside and out.
Then I will get a stereo system.
Then I will paint my bumpers black or silver.
Maybe do a bit of touching up on the runs in the paint.

And that has been the story of Untitled (Festiva).

      And Flw Sock's entry

This is my Festiva, which I named The Pimptiva. Pimps only drive pimp cars, right?

Anyway, about 6 or 7 months ago I was looking for a new car that got good gas mileage because my mean bosses weren't giving me any hours, and therefore I couldn't afford to drive my trucks that get 14mpg on the highway. I had been looking at Festivas for a long time, because I thought that would be a sweet candidate for a car that I could totally pimp out with lights, speakers, and other typical teenager things. I also have a fetish for rare cars. After already looking and buying two cars before, I knew what the requirements were for my Dad to come with me to check one out. It had to be a decent deal for starters, but it also had to be within like 15-20minutes drive LOL. So, after searching for what seemed like forever, I found a Festiva for $500 that the guy said he think needed a ball joint and control arm. Being a race car driver and getting in crashes all of the time, those are the two most replaced parts my Dad and I have done. So, we scooted over there THE DAY I FOUND IT ON CRAIGSLIST, which is totally unheard of for my dad. After some haggling, we managed to scoop it up for $400 THE SAME DAY WE LOOKED AT IT, which is also totally unheard of for my Dad! Usually, we go to check out a car, and then come back a few weeks later hoping the person is softer on the price. After about 2 hours of trying to get it on our trailer, we brought my baby home. She was in rough condition, and to get it on/off the trailer, we had to keep kicking the drivers side front tire in because of the damaged ball joint, etc. There was A LOT of work to be done with it. While doing the control arm, we were forced to cut a small whole in the frame to get one of the bolts out, because the housing had broke! Despite the seized bolts and all the set backs, my Dad and I cranked it out in about a week. Once we replaced the drivers side axle, control arm, ball joint, and outer tie rod, we took it out for a spin. Once you get out of my subdivision, you go right into a highway. So, I began to stop at a stop sign before I get on the highway, and notice the brakes go ALL the way to the floor. After that incident, we bled the brakes for like 4 hours, to try to be sure we had to drop the money on a master cylinder. I ended up having to buy a master, and we put that in. It's ran perfectly ever since. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of when I first bought it, or when we were working on it. It's probably a good thing, because after I bought it, it took me over 8 hours to clean it properly. It was nasty!!

I still have to install a red/black shift boot. I'm still looking for a candidate jacket or something at the local goodwill that I can cut up to fabricate a sweet shift boot that will cover the entire shifter whole.

George Webbs sticker, my first mod I did to this car....
      +10hp

The exhaust is a funny story. When I first bought the car, the idiot had the muffler so it was right below the gas tank, and about 1 inch from the ground tops at all times. Whenever I had a passenger in a car, they would have to lean and put the side all the way up, otherwise it would scrap. Going downhill? Scraped the entire way. This is the new exhaust, I thought it looked cool since it's new.... SHINY!!!

And now..... time for a treat for everybody, just scroll down.

Look at those custom wheels and grill!!!!

Taking The Pimptiva to get rust proofed next week!

I missed the 30 minute mark for editing when I thought of this, thought I would add it.

      The Pimptiva is a 1993.

      FUTURE PLANS:
I'm already taking The Pimptiva to get rust proofed next week!

I'm still conteplating whether or not to paint everything black on the enside. Door cards, trunk card, all the grey plastic in the back.... BECAUSE RACECAR

LIGHTS (you guys will get pictures, don't worry) instead of neons or any of that typical stuff, I'm going to put christmas lights all around. Christmas lights as dash lights, christmas lights as neons, christmas lights as wheel neons, it will be nothing short of awesome.

TRAIN HORN I was going to do this earlier, but then I had some unexpected expenses I had to pay off first. Hopefully within 6 months or so I'll have this baby in here. Do not fear, I will be going around town scaring the living crap out of people with it, and there will be videos!!

ESCORT SEATS When I went to the junkyard to pick up the escort center console, the seats weren't in bad condition either, so I might be going back to grab those.

LEATHER SHIFT BOOT Like I said before, I just have to find a good candidate jacket or something leather that I can cut up and stitch if I have to, this will look really clean once I get done with it.

REMOTE START Would be great for the winter months so I don't have to shiver while driving.

ELECTRIC LOCKS I've been thinking about installing these, but I don't know if I can justify the $50 at this time for the set.

REAR DEFROST I'm still looking into this, but I think it would be really helpful if I could install some defroster kit on the back. The Festivas have big rear windows, and how am I going to use it in the winter if its frozen over?

OTHERS? I'm always looking at the custom interior/exterior thread, and getting other crazy ideas from friends. I'll never be done, playing with this car is too much fun!

FLW SOCK, you would have had my vote, but I can't give my vote to a car that's improperly named... There is, and can only be one PIMPTIVA. That car was inspiration for SOOO many people (myself included) and from what I know almost every part off of that car lives on in another Festy today. Long live PIMPTIVA http://www.pimptiva.com

Why would someone part out a car like that?

Really...if there was rust it should have just been sold to someone that could fix it or something.
