I've put 10,000 miles+ in the last 6 months on my little car. Just don't think it's headed to the East Coast...

I've driven my Festiva 6-7 hours away from home. Of course I was a little leery but nothin major happened on a long trip! Do a thorough pre-flight check and fix anything you know needs attention. Take any little tools and parts you might need (v belt, timing belt, 14mm with a breaker bar etc...). I'd honestly be confident driving my car to the Atlantic Ocean right now, and that feels great knowing it could.

I'd take mine to the Pacific without thinking about it. I used to take my first Festiva the 800 mile round trip to Vegas all the time... From my house to Raleigh NC is 2152 ONE WAY!

Longest single day drive for was was 14 hours from Calgary AB to Bismark ND on our way to FM5. That was with five of us in the car too.
