          My dad's car came from a place only about 45 min away, and 2nd owner drove it to us! he bought it from the first owner after her husband had horded it for about 12 years sitting... he died before he picked it up... had to be gutted and cleaned. It had 40,xxx miles when we bought it... was an "L" model, a 1991 with just the $200 or so AM/FM w/o Cassette (2nd owner installed a basic am/fm/cd/aux unit) and a rear defroster that doesn't work.... he doesn't care, his first Festiva didn't have the defroster. Really the only thing we did was buy a new battery, replaced the fuel pump, bought new 12" tires they had never been replaced in 25 years and added a Festiva.com sticker... been working fine ever since... he paid about $2500 for it including tires

          Mine came from the same place, but a different owner, we are the 2nd owner of that car it had 90,xxx miles on it when we got it and since put 13" tires on it, fixed some miner body damage and painted the affected areas, replaced the engine and put a festiva.com sticker on it... it is a "GL" with an automatic transmission

          If you want to know anything about one of the cars, feel free to ask, I can pick one later based on unanimous vote!

          SOLD! '90 Ford Festiva L Manual look for Narion (or click the username) it's new owner on the forum! - got with 193,xxx miles... now has 193,xxx miles give or take SOLD!

          R.I.P '91 Ford Escort GT w/ bad engine..... stripping for parts then off to the scrapper!

          R.I.P '91 Ford Festiva Manual "Lil Red Rocket" bought brand new in 1991 with ~120 mi... ended with 227,xxx mi.

          R.I.P '97 Ford Aspire 4 Door Automatic "Ford Metro" parts car - got with about 144,xxx mi.... ended with 144,xxx mi

          R.I.P '95 Ford Aspire Manual Silver (one owner and one family car) got with about 50,000 miles ended with about 90,000 miles

                Ya... I know mine isn't anything to cry about, but with all the work my GL has had, it's still not 100% done

                Dad's on the other hand, just needs a stock radio and it will be 100% stock with 52,xxx miles now


                oh, does anybody know how to remove a radio from a car in the auto yard without the radio removal tool?

                  If your removing a stock Festiva radio, no special tool is needed.
                  An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

                    gerg, how much was the fancy aluminum rad?

                    mitchell, your solid baby blue color reminds me of my factory Jeep color that I miss

                    paccino, did you make those flex brake lines yourself? If so, I will repurpose mine!
