  • Accepting entries for November FOTM

What are you guys thankful for? Let's see those prized cars.
Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

The Story of "The White Turd"

I Owned a Yellow Festiva years ago named Sponge Bob but it died and I did not have the knowledge and Money to bring it back to life so we got rid of him. I have always liked little cars and fell in love with Festivas when we bought our first. Fast Foward about 6 years and I finally have the money and time to buy a new Festiva. I talked about wanting one at work enough that a coworker sent me an ad he had found on Craigslist for one near my side of town, The guy wanted $900... I talked him down to $300 cash and a Taurus PT111 9mm with some ammo.

The car had basically zero brakes so I had to tow it home.

Once I got it home I started tearing it down and finding out just how many problems it had with the brakes, after new pads, shoes, wheel cylinders, Master cylinder, proportioning valve and many weeks I finally had a stopping car.
I cleaned and painted many parts, I decided to go with an "Old Ford Blue" and Black color scheme.

Found Some Wheels on Craigslist for $80 and mounted some of the 165/55/14's on them.

Led Cluster Lights and White Needles

    Escort Dome Light

    First night on the track

    New Seats from a Protege

This thing has a ton of room for Camping Stuff when there is no Passenger Seat....

Ive also installed an aftermarket Tach and a new Head Unit. Have a Borla exhaust and a Innovative Motorsports Wideband waiting to go in. 5% Window tint on the back 3 windows and 15% on the front 2. I have also recently purchased a Capri XR2 with the a running B6T that will eventually get swapped over and I'm in the middle of doing the Advance Suspension mod.

      OverKILL
      as named by Sleeper

The car is from Washington state! I bought it and had it shipped to me. OverKILL was the 1st car to run Carlos's EVO system on it. OverKILL is on its 4th BP+T build. The last build/ motor (which i have) was pushing 325hp with a stock bp and a 50 trim turbo. The current setup is a bp with a t70 turbo. THe car has the full evo system, ebay t70 turbo, giant external wastegate, big ole BOV, large front mount intercooler, 3" piping, 3" exhaust all the way back. It is sitting on some honda coilovers. It has nito NT01 tires and drag slick. The interior is fully gutted. The rear seat mounts are gone. The back glass is Plexiglas. It has the aspire brake swap. All the wiring is gone except only what is needed to run the car. The external wastegate is through the GTX hood. AEM wideband, water temp, oil psi, and a boost gauge. Lets not forget the 6" rpm gauge. The car is pushing close to 400hp at the minute. Its insane to drive!!!

The car will get a full advanced dynamics suspension, door cards, rear panels to make the rear a bit nicer on the eye. Might give a light shade of tint just to help with the sun. Will have to put seats in it with harness belts. Gonna need tires upon tires stacked on tires. I may do a plasti dip paint job (burnt orange) (i will have a burnt orange festiva...). Might keep the car looking as it does to keep the sleeper look tho. Man is it a sleeper!

Not to long ago i wanted to buy the full evo kit from carlos for Lucifer however parts were hard to find at the time. Man am i glad i got this baby. She runs like a champ. 25 psi However i have only taken it up to 15 so far (tires are bald).
      Exhaust for days!

picture i took from the facebook add that i was linked to (ps please stop sending me links im out of monies now...)

picture taken in my garage showing just how big that dang turbo really is.
The engine bay is actually pretty clean. The body of the car for that matter is clean. It has a few curb marks but its a rust free car with 400hp!!!

The hood needs a new metal cover for the external wastegate hole. The orignal one is kinda bent up now.
gotta love a thin and flimsy gtx hood!

Came with slicks that actually have some meat left on them.

All in all the car is great. I think its a much better buy then Lucifer was! The guy was much more honest with me then Lucifers last owner was. OverKILL's last owner has called me 3 times allready to chat about the car. I can tell he already misses it. Its in good hands now tho. Soon you will see video of OverKILL!!!

I think this is the right place for this.

          Replica shogun

I got the car from "the collector" with a spun rod bearing. It hasn't been to many meets the car only has 3,900 miles. It made a fl meet back in '09 and had been sitting for a couple years. It made 175hp on the dyno that day.

I acquired another Ford Taurus sho and stripped the engine and trans and installed it in the car. I'm still working out the kinks, small stuff. These engines rely on the engine management for everything so if 1 thing is off or not happy it lets you know.
Future plans for the car are turbo and suspension. It will get a garrett gt3076r good for about 450hp to the rear wheels . Hopefully i will make this car the fastest rear wheel drive festiva. Also it has a automatic gearbox which I may switch out for the 5 spd I have sitting around. And the car will get a new paint job down the road. The taz and flames are a little too eccentric for me. Now just need to hit the lotto and everything will be done in a timely manner. I will have the car in a local show called the turkey rod run at Daytona this week. Representing festivas. https://vimeo.com/192592400
          also has a/c and heat.

That's awesome. I used to live in Daytona Beach '00-'06. Turkey Rod isn't quite the same anymore me thinks, do they still do burnouts and drag race at lights down A1A?

This is my 1991 GL auto festiva, dazzler, my first ever car, i got her for $950, she was over heating, dirty as f#@! Had painted striped all over and many cosmetic and a few mechanical problems, I've owned her for just over a month. Everyone said i hot ripped off, that i wouldnt be able to fix her (because i was a girl and didnt have the know how)is now clean in the engine, new oil + filter, new fuel filter, new thermostat (thought that would fix her over heating, didnt) fixed the heater, glove box, new indicators, fixed the wiring for the sounds, fixed the thermostat housing that was cracked, unblocked some radiator hoses (still didnt fix the over heating) then one day it was raining and i had noone to pick my daughter up from day care so i drove her over there got back in the drive and the radiator cracked!! But thankful it did because the tanks were all clogged up, i unblocked them and fixed the Crack and she runs like a dream now, she isnt much yet but shes my baby and i have big plans for her
