  • Accepting entries for December FOTM

This is your last chance to get into the 2016 FOTM action. Let's see some naughty and nice Festivas and Aspires for the holiday's!
Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

Bought my car this summer, has a B6 motor swap 5sp trans. I'm only 17 so pretty new to festivas. I drive it all over in the beautiful state of South Dakota. I work at a local mechanic shop and love what I do. Everyone I work with has owned multiple festivas, so it was only a matter of time before I got one. Never thought I would own a festiva but absolutely love these cars. Very simple yet powerful.

Everyone at the mechanic shop you work at owns a festiva? Thats awesome! And almost unbelieveable, lol. Can you get a picture of the whole fleet?

                my saga

                Ferrari Festiva
so my saga started a few years back I wanted my ford buddy to do a modern drive train in a small call, he was in, but when I suggested the festiva he balked, said it was too much work too much trouble to crappy a car to do all of that work too..........
I ended up buying a 2001 zx3 focus from a tuner shop in new Hampshire, it was a shop car and had seen its fair share of action, was a hodgepodge of cars and parts (2005 brakes 2006 drivetrain lots of suspension and motor work} dubbed the ' ugly duckling' loud / bright yellow / stiff/ no AC no heat and a lot of fun ( most of the time ) until I rolled it , dodging a truck that had crossed the line in a blind curve.

I had other cars to drive but I missed the fun that the little zx3 provided
a year later a mint 93 festiva popped up on craigslist close to me. The owner wanted a lot of money but It looked to be in awesome condition well maintained with a stack of receipts , and I missed my fun little zx3.

It was red and I don't like red (swore i'd never drive a red car unless it was a Ferrari) , so I slapped a sticker on it and started Daily Driving it.

It was fun! A peppy little motor that seemed to have plenty of power ( unless you went up a hill ) with a lively suspension , that was engaging ( felt like it was trying to kill me most of the time ) and seemed to be a good litmus test for girls.....

after driving it and seeing all the support from the forums and having fun at a local autocross.

I thought it was time to try some of the mods, escort dome light ... easy tach upgrade...sorta snowballed into bushings , front end rack form the festiva store,, then the advance suspension coilovers, brakes from master cylinders back, and a donor capri car for the NA B6.
The car just got better and better and more fun ,,,,and my buddy that hated festiva's ,,,, he's looking for one of his own
I have a track day mustang with full maximum motorsports suspension/ big baer brakes and 385 dyno'd hsp it's a lot of fun,, but the festy,, well it's so good to drive and having seen cliff dodds b6t race car or ( daily driver) as he calls it , I've got shadetree building me a B6T car which he says i'll get in the spring,, and I CANNOT WAIT!
Thanks for all the help and support form the forums and can't wait to hangout at a madness event!
