Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

Did my daily search craigslist search of my home town and this beast was sitting there posted for $600. Called him up to find out he is less than a mile from my house. Didn't even know what a festiva was at the time. 20 minutes later I'm at his house starting the car and inspecting. Offered him $400 without a test drive and he accepted. Went to move it as it was sitting in a puddle to check for rust underneath only to realize I could only get to 3rd and 4th gear. Renegotiated him down to $340 he pushed me to for a rolling start and I was able to limp home in 3rd, lucky it was a a short drive with only one intersection I rolled right through for fear of stalling. The same night I found this website and started trouble shooting, thanks again for the help. Shift linkage was fixed over the next few days with a trip to the local hardware store and a Honda short shifter from ebay, total cost to get her road worthy again was just a smidge over $20. Then it was off to dmv to register and insure which doubled my cost of ownership. There have been some lingering issues that are being resolved. I just put new kyb struts on the back and while I was back there I decided to replace the rear bearing. That's about brings us up to today where its sitting on jack stands waiting for a new spindle so she can get back to business. Future repair include some clicking front axels that are due to be replaced, as well as the signals indicator stalk that I have a bungie cord holding in place so I don't look like I'm changing lanes every time I hit a bump. The temp sensor is also non operative which I'm hoping is just a sensor. After the safety and reliability concerns are alleviated I will move on to some wheels and asthetics. There is a local capri turbo for sale for $500 but I don't think I'm ready to tackle that job just yet just enjoying the 1.3 for now.

I'm having some issues with url so hopefully this image post, I work for a Ford Dealer and a GT350 R just came off the carrier so I had to park next to it and take a pic.
