Accepting entries for May FOTM
Ok the story begins back in 09, I had a 90 L Plus that was a real rust bucket, remember we live in Iowa, the floor boards, well they were gone and doing the Flintstone was a reality and after putting patches on patches I told the wife it was time to pull the plug so I stripped every useable part that I could get off and started looking for a new ride. The next week I found a nice 92 KJ Blue GL that I liked but it was down in Bradenton FL I showed the wife and she thought it would be nice and at that point she called it the Blue Rocket, I kept looking but I always came back to this one, she said give him a call so I did, we talked and he said come on over and take a look, I said well I live in Iowa and he hung up, so I called back and he said he didn't have time for jokes, so I told him I was serious, so after he got done laughing he sent some pictures and we did more talking, a week later I booked some airline tickets, three weeks later I was headed to Tampa, then to Bradenton, they met me at the air port and it was about 15 minutes to their house and there he was sitting in the shade of a Palm tree. We talked for a few minutes, them took him for a drive, I was hooked, Maxx was going home with me, back at the house the wife had made some sweet tea, we sat down and started to haggle, he wanted this, I said ill give this, 5 minutes later the deal was done. We talked for another hour and I learned Maxx was bought new up in Fort Walton Beach FL and had spent all of his life in FL, We checked the fluids, wheel bearings etc, we were ready to head north west, I hooked up the GPS, threw the carry on bag in the back, said thanks and headed for the car, I heard the screen door slap shut and a voice said wait for me, the lady had made me a sack lunch and a large McDonalds glass of sweet tea for the road. I said thanks, closed the door, the wife said you call when you get home now ya hear. Maxx and I left, 18 hours later we pulled in the drive at home.
The first pic is of Maxx the morning we got home.
The next pic is the beginning of his transformation. You will see plenty of mods that have been done to Maxx from the Mazda 121 front grill, to the Euro tail lights, Im not going to dwell on all the upgrades I have done, so see what you can find, Thanks for looking.
If you have any questions lets hear them.An idea can turn to dust or magic, depending on the talent that rubs against it.

Voting starts next week. It would be a shame for Maxx to win by default. Let's see some more cars.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

Overkill! With all the spools!!!
I think most of you know the story behind overkill by now. If you dont here you go
I bought the car from Washington state over facebook. I had it shipped to me with a spare motor and trans in the back. The only pictures i saw was the ones listed on facebook. I knew after talking to the owner that the car needed lots of work. I pulled the trigger. I somehow got the wife to go for it and boom she was on a truck headed to me. I picked the car up around midnight and had my 1st taste of real torque steer the 1st time on the gas. Since that day i have not stopped modifying Overkill. This car will be what i want it to be one day or it will go done fighting! Currently the car is setup for autocross. I have basically done as much to it as i can do (not really-big plans to come). The car is a BP+T with g series trans just like the rest. The difference is that im not afraid to drop some coin on it. This is a hobby that i love and i will see it though. I could have gone with a supra and been broke for years trying to make it half of just the normal thats out there. Overkill is not the fastest or the prettiest but its mine and its always growing.
Since i have had the car i have built a new front crash bumper, core support, all new engine mounts, dual stage boost controller, turbo timeer, wheels, tires, seats, belts, wideband, gps speed-o, advanced suspension, aspire auto brakes, aspire rear, rio power rack. The best mod i have made to the car has been the Garrett GTX 2867R gen2 turbo. I have a stupid amount of money in that darn thing it makes me sick. But its so much fun. It sounds so good to drive it.
Lets compare the car from the day i got it vs now!
The day i got it i almost hit mail boxes of both sides of the road in 1st gear alone. I was so afraid to hit even 20psi. The car was a nightmare. It was crazy hard to start and couldn't take a turn worth a damn. It would do nothing but spin a tire and try to kill you. It wouldnt spool until nearly 5000rpm. When she did spool you had to let out or hit the tree. It was great to feel fast and scare the crap out of your friends. Bumpy and body roll for days.
Now its not even fair to call it the same car. She still needs work but you can drive it now. YOu can push it to 25psi and smell the tires being ripped apart as you do. You can hit the turns as hard as you like. You can stop in a straight line. You can actually line up next to someone and not have fear of wrecking them. The car is 100% better then when i got it. Soon the car will be setup and race ready and i cant wait.
Soon you will see updates from the track! and you will be reading more stories of Overkilling other fun cars!1990 (LUCIFER 2.0) fully built BP+T with E153, Fueltech FT500, traction control with hopes of 600hp (i drank to much of the KOOL-AID)
1990 OverKILL BP+T, evo ecu system, coilovers, aspire brakes, full advanced suspension, Garrett! The Autocross toy!
1989 (BRITSTIVA 1.0) B6T and sold
19?? 150$ burnout car SOLD
1991 (STRESS RELIEF)SOLD

The story of festiver back in late September of 2015 I just totaled my Sonoma and was dailying my dad's towing truck 89 seirra 454 no o/d and I was working at McDonald's making a very small amount of money the truck which got 6-8 mpg driving nicely was making me pay to go to work some days it was rediculous and I had enough so that's the reason I bought the festiva it was the only $400 5 speed car I could find it was actually more of a joke than anything thinking of the festiva as "cute but come on" well i bought it with no wheels or a driver door so $200 in wheels and $100 in a door that I picked up on the way home and i had a festiva with a broken brake line needed tires 225k miles burned leaked oil worn clutch but it ran really well so i fixed everything and passed inspection and the first time I drove it I was estatic it was amazing it felt "surprisingly quick" now let's remember I'm used to beat up trucks so this is the first thing <4000lbs I've ever driven but it was so much fun well that's the first chapter of the very long story that is festiver and my addiction...
