I moved from Florida in April of 2012 and made a life for myself. Got a good job, house, built my current Cressida. But I was missing the Festiva life. In December of 2016, I bought a white 1989LX and modded the suspension, but the chassis was rusty, dented in every panel, etc so I was using it as a placeholder for my modifications. Then this car popped up, and I picked it up on January 1st, 2018:
1993, I believe it was an LX model but I'm not sure. This car was previously featured on Jalopnik for the "Nice Price or Crackpipe" segment. It has a BP swap, but it fell far from it's previous glory days. The previous owner beat it to heck and back. When I got it, the hub bearing on the passenger side was blown, which caused the axle to rip out of the out CV joint simulating a broken transmission. The kid cut a hole in the intake tube and couldn't figure out why he had an intake leak. It smokes pretty bad on hard throttle (probably from the hard life it was given) and the clutch won't hold in even 2nd gear. My plan with the car is fix all the problems and enjoy it on the back roads for now. I might cage it and turn it into a more track oriented car in the future.

Miata Wheels with appropriate 165-55-14s

We are working on making it safer for her to ride in but right now there is no back seat. Take 2 - '92 Festiva L ('what if' SVO) One owner since new, all original. Bought it brand new for my then wife from Orange Motors in Albany, NY for $8000 out the door. Got rid of that wife and kept the car. Other than normal maintenance the only failure I've ever had with it has been a leaky front seal and a blown rear strut. It has 168,000 trouble free miles on it. Every so often I put it up on jackstands and replace all the rubber sway bar bushings (do they make poly bushings for these?). It has a Festiva MotorSport stainless cat back and wing along with Mazda 13" Wheels. The exterior is original paint with some decal work. The interior was detailed with Krylon True Blue rattle can, Grant Steering Wheel and some Pep Boys Seat Covers and Mats. Front Grille Mesh is Gutter Guard with fender edging. It did however have 2 quirks. It used to miss in heavy rain until I found out the intake tube was not seated on the throttle body and it would suck in water. The other was that since new, the auto-shoulder belt would quit working when it rained heavy. Dealer replaced the entire assembly under warranty but it still did it. I just live with it now.

got peewee 4 years ago cause i was m missing my old one and i was kinda joking with the wife telling her she was going to be the one driving it. He is a 1990 festiva we went and liked at it fell in love with it. Went on my honey moon in it to Galveston. Blew trans in it. Changed it out with a used one and new clutch almost sold it but talked wife out of it drove it up until last year blew head gasket and 2nd gear. Got a capri with b6t for the swap just finished mounting and wiring in it Got the new shoes on it just got to finish plumbing it in.
Future plans
Put tan leather seats out of mazda mpv in it
Convert spare tire spot to a 12 in sub box
Do the coil overs and camber/caster plates
Install my roof rack
