  • 500,000 miles !!!

    After 19 years, 5 months and 4 days the Festiva tripped 500,000 miles !!!
    Location: I-540 milemarker 16 (at Capitol Boulevard) Raleigh, NC.
    Time: 08:49 EDT

    This is my 1988 Ford Festiva.I bought the car new so all the miles are mine.It tripped 500,000 miles on August 15, 2007.

    1988 Festiva LX Silver 5speed. 219,000 miles. My new daily driver.
    1988 Festiva L Plus Red 2brl 4speed. 504,477 miles and holding till I get the speed-o fixed.

        Did you get a pic?

        I got one at 100,000 and one at 200,000!

              No, 1st engine lasted 265k miles. Replaced with used enigne with 22k miles, that was in 1995.
              2nd engine has 500-265+22=257k miles

                      Congratulations, Jeff!

                      I'm hoping Luxstiva makes it to 300K. She's at 215K right now, with her original ATX. Newer engine ('94 B6) and suspension/brakes ('95 Aspire).

                              OK, finally got the video posted on You Tube.

                              TominMO - No, I changed out the tranny last summer after my brother blew the clutch out of it. It was starting to grind when you shifted gears anyway. But how many transmissions have you seen that lasted 460,000 miles?

                              Safety Guy - you could have the highest mileage automatic
