I'm curious, if your repairs on the floor aren't weld, who did you do it?
Is that a Festiva that just passed me?!?!?!

83 point inspection ?!?!?... man. i think around here its like a 20 pt inspection. they'll get you for some stuff, but if you know a good place then its not too bad

good luck on getting it to pass, after all that work that's an unplesent surprise!

Sound like a strict inspection in Canada!

"Remove tin can from exhaust..." LOL! I just about fell off my freakin' chair! (sorry dude, that was funny)

Inspections are provincial rather than national here, fellas. It seems that Manitoba's pretty strict over there. Alberta on the other hand, well, we don't even have emissions here.

yea i had to bite my toung not to laugh when he said that to my face
its not quite as bad as it sounds, i got a joint that is clamped and nomatter what i did i couldnt get it to stop leaking (even with that cement stuff) so what i did was covered everything in that paste, put the pipes together, put more paste one, and wrapped a soup can around it all, then put the clamp on

quick out of section question; for the aspire swap do i need festiva or aspire ball joints??

                  festiva balljoints.

from the aspire you need: hub/rotor/caliper with rubber brake line attached, and tierod end from aspire or escort. the balljoints, axles, etc can be festiva.

                      axles, etc can be festiva.
The Festiva axels do work with the Aspire brake swap. But if you use the Festiva control arms you must use the Festiva axles. The Aspire control arms are longer and can pull the Festiva axles out. I did this and noticed very poor handling. I saw somewhere on this site someone else that had this issue. Don't remember who. When I changed back to the Festiva control arms I found I had to snap my driver side axle back in. Maybe some other axels work. I'm not sure.

My uncle lives in Maryland, right outside of DC. The inspections are insane there. His '00 Escort ZX2 failed because of a cracked serpantine belt. I love inspection-less Kentucky.
