Weird spotting at PnP

I spotted an odd 323 at PnP yesterday. The badges on the rear were removed, but it appeared to read 323GT?i. I assume the ? in there might represent an X, but can't be sure. It was a front drive car, as opposed to AWD.

The really odd thing was that the car appeared to have a non-turbo B6, SOHC engine. The intake manifold casting was a little different than any I've seen before. Same configuration and all, but the outside appearance was just a little different.

in canada there were a few 323 hatches sold as a 323gt they were just normal 323s with gtx spoilers and I think bumpers too
