regarding the speedo cable, the manual and autos will interchange, I just took one from an auto and hooked it up to my 5 speed b6t swapped festy and it works great.

mine isn't registered yet either... it has a ton of DMV back fees. I'll register it once I know I can trust it to go more than 50 miles before acting up.

I've only driven mine once for about 20 miles.. and everything seemed ok :shock:

Thanks for your help btw. If I can't find a speedocable and trunk latch at the junkyard, would it be too much trouble to ask you to pick those up and I can pay you for them/have them shipped?
