  • Group Festiva road trip next summer

Anyone interested in a road trip to the outer banks next summer, I plan on taking one of the festiva's probably the yellow one on its first long road trip, me and the wife are going to take a week off and travel down to the outter banks, I thought it would be cool to get some guys together to travel with.

Anyone interested? The trip will probably be the end of June or early July.

Carolina's :-) I believe, I have never been there but if you google IMAGE it, you can see. Its that one long thin strip of land extending into the Atlantic ocean down the coast.

Yes, North Carolina. My family has vacationed there since I was a wee one. 25 years or so ago. It is home to the Wright Brothers Museum. Remember Kittyhawk where the first airplane flight took place. Yep that's it.

"It is the Family version of Myrtle Beach." IMHOP If you like to party and such you will get bored. BUT if you like the finer and more down to earth things like Museums, Fish aquariums, dining out, Flying kites, walking the beach, etc. then this is one of the best in North America. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the Wild Horse Reservation where there is a small herd of wild horses that roam free. I have actually seen them run the beach. Very awesome to think of how it was back in the old days when the Buffalo roamed. Also the Sand Dune Park (forgot the actual name) where you can climb a very large dune and jump, roll, fall down whatever your poison may be. The kids love it. Four wheeler tours, Parasailing, and more.

Heck after talking about it I may be a little interested in going. It has been 4-5 years since I have been there.

From my house in Ohio it is about 11 hours by myself (short lunch/gas breaks and 2-3 pee stops). Made it in one fill-up in my old dual tank F-150. Probably 2 tanks in the Festiva. Little over 600 miles for me. Nice drive though.

Gomez, those are many of the reasons why me and the wife want to go. I might only be 25 (next week) but I am not much of a partier, but am into history.
