  • Appreciating your car.

    Hello all,

Didn't realize how much work I've done on my car & how much I like it until today when I drove the bone stock 93 5-speed with 360,000km (about 224,000 miles) on it. I had to check a few things before putting it up for sale. The seats are about 4 or 5" higher off the ground than on mine (FMS lowering springs and Toyota MR2 seats) and I felt like I was in a fishbowl with no tinting on the windows.

I like my car much better now

I'm sure there's some cliche out there that applies.

You don't know what you've til it's... no that's not it.

Haha... You're telling me... I went from my Festiva that would sit literally an inch off the ground... Stepping out of it compared to anything was just nuts.

I do have to admit though... there are some times that I just love when I get to take my dads stock 93 around the block. I don't know if it's the automatic or what, but I enjoy it.

I know what you mean! I am familar with my green car all lowered and such. I bought the red car and was driving it home and forgot how bad the stock suspension handles! I went around a sharp turn and was OH CRAP! And I also like my tinted window and all the other options it has!

I haven't lowered mine or anything yet, but I do love that B6 swap! I noticed something yesterday, though. I realized that the not so good fuel mileage I've been getting is pretty much my fault. Well, all my fault. I've been driving around with the engine almost never dropping below 3000 rpms, and having a great time. Last night, the gauge was just about at empty, and I had a long way to drive to get home, so I decided to take it easy. AMAZING! When you drive it "normally" the gas gauge doesn't move at all!

        I love this car!
