price too high?

I found a 91 festiva gl not too far from me. The guy says it has 110k, auto, a/c (that works), rear wiper, Alloywheels. It also includes a remanufactured pair of axles, new struts. It has no rust and the body is in pretty good shape. It needs to be towed because there is something wrong in the rear drums. Is 850 bucks too much for this car?


btw the carfax came up clean.

No, its not too much if the car is clean. As long as everything else is in order besides the rear brakes, it should be a good transaction. Let us know how it turns out. If you decide not to buy it, please let the rest of the members here know. I'm sure someone would like the car.

I dont think the brakes will be a problem because I still have my festiva brakes and stuff from my aspire swap. If I decide not to buy it I will let you guys know about it.

Well, I have to find a trailer or tow dolly in the next week or so I put a holding payment on it. Ill get pictures when I get it home.

Most likely the brakes are just frozen from rust. The linkage from the e-brake cable to the drum tioghtens up lots when it gets rusty. A little penetrating oil or WD-40 and work it a little and you should be good to go.
