  • How do I break into my Festiva?

Well, I locked my keys in the car and I need them back.

The windows are up and I have no spare key.

How do I get into my car without damaging it?

    Any ideas?

Get another festiva key from some other car. I think they will open any festiva door.

Take it back to the back porch, join the 3 string revolution.

I was able to open the door on my '92 with ANY key. Car key, house key, whatever.

Clothes hanger, bend it to 180*. Look on the outside of the window, try to place the clothes hangers tip where the pull up button is for the door lock. Slide the hanger between the window and the seal, turn the hanger a bit (to he point where you think the lock release it), and move it up and down untill you feel/see it grab the lock. Then try to pull up on the lock.

If you cant tell i have had to do this before :-\

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

Yep. The door locks slop out after a while. I can use a screwdriver on mine.

you can also pull the rear windows back slightly and slide a screwdriver in and pop the handle open, then use a philips to take the rear window latch from the window, you can then open the window about 5 inches and get your sholder inside to reach the lock to pull it up.

Be careful though if you put too much pressure in the glass and screwdriver you will break the latch

This car has to be one of the easiest to open without a key. A slimjim will work wonders. I believe harbor frieght sells them for 99 cents

I'm with anomoly on this one, I haven't tried the Batstiva key on a festiva it wouldn't unlock. Even found that atleast two others it would start.

festivaWES is correct a slimjim or any thin flat piece of metal. You can do it in under 10 seconds. Its too easy.

I took a bent coathanger, stuck it down the door and poked at the lock, like in the video. Within 30 seconds I got in!

                          Thanks!!
