    I have one of the best finds to announce: I found a mint copy of the 1988 August Print of Motor Trend Mag with this article in it:

      It would be intresting to see how this set up compares with an average aspire swap plus KYBs and FMS springs.

          I remember seeing that article some time ago... It was either on the FMS site or the old FF.com site when Rich owned it...

            They added a sway bar in rear; aspire adds a sway bar in rear.

            They added aggressive shocks; we have KYBs

            They added stiffer and shorter springs; FMSs are shorter, but I am not sure about how much stiffer.

            I wonder If that car is still in motor trend's possession. Maybe we could convince them to lend it to the Fordfestiva.com group for some testing.

            Their car handles better than my 99 integra ls. Strange, I never thought the handling of a festiva could be so good with such little mods.

                    Cool................how much was an '88 Festiva new?
                    1986 Comp Prep SVO Mustang(1 of 83) Four cylinder turbo! (Think first Fox body "R" model!)
                    1995 F-150 Extra Cab and it was free!
                    1991 Festiva L, Surf Blue with A/C
                    1995 Jeep Cherokee 2wd 5 speed 4.0 and it was free!
                    1993 Aqua Festiva and it was cheap!
                    1994 Brake Swap and it was cheap!
                    1969 Ford F100 Big Block Ranger and it was free! (coming 2/12)

                      My 88 L receipt says $6700. That seems high though. Oh, and that is an lx.

                          i think my parents paid like 7000 with A/C installed. oh and lifetime oil changes (best $125 they ever spent lol).
