I'll keep this post short, seeing as my last post in Repair Help was a little long winded.
I worked on my timing problems yesterday, and when I put everything back together and fired it up, I got a horrible, very loud knocking that seemed to be coming from the top end. It was so loud, in fact, that I couldn't even stand to be near that end of the engine when it was running.
To make a long story short, after an hour and a half of wasting time tearing things apart and putting them back together and not resolving the issue, I realized that I had forgotten to tighten up with water pump pulley bolts.
Stupid ol' me!
Jim
