Need help: need pic of B6T knock box and a question

Guys, I need a pic of the knock box for the B6T. I can't seem to find a picture of one. I have a lead on one but the owner of the car needs a picture and a locations so that he can get it for me.

Also there is a rumor on this board that the GTX wiring harness does not need a knock box. I have a hard time believing this is true.

No it's the gray box on the opposite shock tower, the one with the black wire going over the top.

iirc the capri xr2 doesn't need it but a 323 gt or gtx does

Nope the Capri has one, 323 doesn't.

I have a 323 GTX wiring harness and computer. So the motor will run fine with out it. That's wierd

Reich racing asks what car you have because they say ecu's arent't exchangeable. Wierd.

lol this is a funny thread, so much miss leading info.

The knock box is the gray box on the pass side above the engine mount.

The capri needs one, 323 should have one but do not need one I have been told.

The capri ecu has a bit more sophisticated fuel maps than the 323 thats why they use different ecus.

I just went out and tried it. A 323 ecu and wiring harness will not run with out a knock box. You can run a 323 with a 323 wiring harness, knock box and capri ecu.

Thanks shorestiva. That is what I thought. I just have to source a knock box now.
