    anyone ever tried one of these swaps from a Mercury capri?

    dude, that's a mustang....
    Trees aren't kind to me...

    currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
    94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

                I remember mine well! '76,brown w/ tan vinyl top, sunroof, amfm stereo, top o the line, 2.8 v6, 5 spd. just like the bottom one with the vinyl
                roof. Traded my '73 ford econoline van w/ the custom interior, and a six pack for it. It was the first big gas crunch I think gas went up to
                75-80 cents. This guy just had to have a Van. Fast little car for the day!

                  Nope, that's a fox body Capri. Built along side the Mustang from 79 to late-80-something. The other Capris pictured are (the very sexy, and very rusty) German models that were imported to the US in the 70's.

                  So, one question remains for me: What was the deal with the Mazda based Capri anyhow? Just trying to figure out what FoMoCo's plan was.

                  And further to my last question: What the hell was Lotus thinking right after that? Yikes!
