What is best for cleaning interior plastic?

There are some awsome looking Festys in the group. I would like some input on the best thing you've found to clean the plastic and vinyl interior parts. I have some Tuff stuff and it leaves a residue and everything feels sticky after cleaning. Especially the shifter and steering wheel. What gets the dirt off and leaves it really clean?

here are some things you'll need:

1. sponge
2. powder detergent (tide)
3. 2 buckets of water
4. wet and dry vacuum cleaner
5. chamois towel

mix 4 scoops of tide with a gallon of water then mix. the higher the concentration, the better. dip the sponge then squeeze until you rinse all the water. get the bubbles and apply it to dirty area - ninyl, fabric, plastic, dashboard. then wipe the bubbles and residue with wet chamois. rinse the sponge in the tide mixturee and the chamois, in the bucket of clean water. if on fabric, use vacuum cleaner with the brush end to pick up excess residue.

tide is great stuff, and so is GoJo... GoJo (or any similar "mechanics soap") is right up there with WD40 and Ductape as far as a cure-all, you can use it to buff your paint, de-grease your engine, clean vinyl, cloth, etc... good stuff!

Don't think I'd buff my paint with gojo. Those little chunks of pumice make me nervous.

Which is substantially different from formaldehyde!

You don't seem too unset about salt, Sodium chloride!
Even though it has Sodium a metal that burns in the presence of water and Chlorine a gas that was used in WW! to kill people in the trenches.
No, because combined and bonded the way they are, the new compound has difference chemical properties.
So Formaldehyde-Melamine-Sodium bisulfite copolymer has different properties from formaldehyde.

Hope you don't drink water with all that hydrogen in it!

Not to mention all the Oxygen which is the culprit in all the house and forest fires.

"carcer" is this a form of cancer specific to cars?

What? Thier just a micro fiber that works like sand paper. Their trick is they fall apart or clog up before any damage occurs.

All of the above works great...I use Mr. Clean..personal preference.I think the greatest trick is whatever agent you use....mix it with as water as hot as you can handle and not to use to much.

For sticky crap...mineral spirits...for real stuborn grime...Purple Power by Castrol.
