A GL or LX with a manual transmission. All automatics had the console, but not the retainer and shift boot, which is different than the L shift boot.Axlander9289, brother of ThisVelologist

I dont think they came on GLs just the LXs around these parts. Almost all 121s and prides have them. You just have to find a 121 or a pride. :roll:sigpic

Where are you located t-scene? If you're in Canada, you're out of luck. We never got the console with the manual cars. If you're in the US, hit the wreckers and eventually you'll find one. You could also do what I've done: console from an automatic, shift knob and boot from a Mazda 323, some glue, time and creativity.

I have a brand spanking new 5sp shift knob as shown in the photo that I picked up at the junkyard recently. I found it under the factory leather cover on a mazda 626 from the late 80s/early 90s. It threads right on to the festiva shifter. So anyone looking for a new and pefect shift knob should also look at old 626s. Good luck!I'm going to come at you like a spider monkey!
