  • How to sell motor and tranny?

I have an engine and trasmission that i am needing to sell sometime in the near future. The engine has 150,000 miles, no leaks, new lifters, water pump, front and rear main seal, good compression, and etc. The transmission is automatic but was just rebuilt but has some issues.

How much could i expect to get for both if or when i put them up for sale?

    Thanks!

Is this a Festiva engine and tranny? I'd imagine you'd have better luck selling them separately. Couldn't venture a guess on price, but a new longblock on FMS goes for about $1700. I wouldn't expect to get nearly that much for a high mileage used engine, even in good condition, but That is what you'd expect to pay for a brand new engine. I wouldn't expect to get much for the automatic transmission, especially if it has issues.
