Clarification 94+ Miata and Festiva

I just wanted to clafify something...

Did the 94+ Miatas with the 1.8 have BP? More importantly...will the 94+ Miata exhaust manifold bolt up to the Protege/Escort BP cylinder heads?

My friend's '94 Miata had a BP, and I believe that Miatas all used B series engines. Don't know about the manifold, but I would guess that it would bolt up. There's one way to find out.

94-97 use the bp like the escorts & protege's. later ones had a better flowing head

Thats what I thought. I know the 99+ have a better head, but i just wanted a way to buy an off the shelf turbo manifold. I found several listed for the 94+ miata...but none for the Protege, Escort, or Sephia....imagine that

you can use the miata turbo manifold on the escort or protege motor.you have to cut the flange off and have it welded upside down
