I think is a weeding process too. Some come and go and come back later.
Maybe many think they may not have anything to contribute, then leave.
Some maybe feel flamed out when they really aren't.
Many may find the one fix they need at the time, Then they fix and come back later when it is a real problem.

Then there is curiosity, the only way to see the insides is to open it up.
