  • Nomadland

Just finished readng a book called "Nomadland" published in 2017 about a writer who spent three years interviewing people lving out of their vehicles and she mentioned one guy living in a Festiva. I've been on month long camping trips with my dog in the Festiva with the back seat removed to stow camping gear and the passenger seat removed to provide a space for the dog. As long as you pick a time of year when the weather is decent it's fine. We just went along the east coast, first to Florida and Gerogia, then to Nova Scotia.
Original owner of silver grey carburetted 1989 Festiva. 105k km as of June 2006. 140k km as of June 2021.

Sounds like you had a nice trip WmWatt... but you left out a lot of states between Georgia and Nova Scotia... and didn't stop by to say hello.
So you are are a reader too... During the past couple of years I have read all of Charles Dickens novels.. had read only a couple as required reading in my youth. I'm now reading all of his short stories and other works. He was an amazing writer.

A lot of funny stories in there.. I enjoyed reading it too. After reading all of his novels, it's hard for me to pick my favorite by Dickens...but Great Expectations is close to the top of my list. The beginning of Martin Chuzzlewit had me wondering if I really wanted to finish it, but it did get me hooked after a few chapters and I'm glad I stuck it out. Barnaby Rudge was enjoyable too...seems to have many parallels in current events. I really enjoyed reading every one of them.
