Umm..... by closed course you mean a small stretch of road that has no houses on it? then of course

The road i was on, when i started accelerating i could see the stop sign a few kms down the road, and i know the road well and that there is no houses on it, and since i could see a long ways down the road, i could see no on-coming traffic, so i gave her hell and as soon as i got to that speed i quickly took the pic and started hitting the brakes to stop by the stop sign

      But dam that was fun

Its a regular occurance with mine. Just trying to keep up with traffic on HWY 99 in the fast lane...I was topped at about 4500 rpm and traffic was still pulling on me.
