  • would it work?

i have been so bord latley... yesterday i built a procharger out of pvc piping and bloted it to a briggs motor  it worked to  no boost but it improved the throttle response. anyway... i was looking on craigs list and found a new project...

i was thinking of taking that briggs and making a adapter plate and then bolting it to the stock tranny. i talked to the guy and he said he can get a tranny for me. i saw a guy did it with a festiva and a v twin. also in one of the stores around hear there is a 10hp diesel motor, kind of like a big briggs. 10 hp dose not seem like a lot but it will have tons of torque. what do you guys think, will it work? i think it will and then ill have a nice little toy to beat on and if i brake anything i have spare parts ( i had a old chevy sprint... same crap) and he said the front end is in the car

how much hp do you think i will need to make it be fun to drive. i was thinking about 20 hp. i was thinking of getting a 10hp or bigger and then getting a chevy sprint turbo and boosting the briggs motor with that. i also got told if you stick a dirt bike carb on them the throttle response and hp go up like crazy, is this true?

I had a 15mm Mikuni VM rounslide on a 5hp briggs, with a 2 foot long electrical conduit header, and that thing screamed! Use a 25hp Briggs v-twin with a 28mm carb and an open exhaust, and that thing should be a hoot!!!

So you're thinking briggs turbo in a Festiva? If it has enough power to move it down the road well enough, you'd probably get crazy fuel economy, especially if you get a small diesel. Sounds like some Smokey Yunick voodoo.

i can get this 10hp diesel briggs and then turbo it, and you all know what happens when you turbo a diesel... but the only down side is that it is 800 bucks with out the turbo  but if the briggs dose not work ill just put a cbr 600rr in it

Just curious: What exactly do you mean when you say you built a procharger out of PVC tubing? From my experience ProCharger is a brand of belt driven supercharger. How does this apply here. I gotta know.
