  • Regular vs Dual-Core Radiator

I finally figured out why I've been having so much trouble with my air conditioning. It's because the radiator is shot. Something inside it has come loose and is restricting the flow of coolant and heat dissipation...

So for a replacement, I'm considering a dual core raditor from an Automatic Festiva. My thoughts are that I will benefit from a little extra cooling that way.

Any thoughts or suggestions regarding this? I don't want to do something that would waste my money and/or damage my Festiva...

      Tim,

You might want to grab the automatics condenser fan if the donor has air conditioning. Extra cooling for that Texas heat...

          I did that already.

The wiring harness from a carb'd Festiva has no provision for a condenser fan, and the harness from the later years with fan capabilities is incompatible with my car. So I tapped the wire to the compressor clutch and ran a relay from it that turns the condenser fan on when the A/C is on.
