I dare anyone (besides me) within butt kicking distance to call my wife hun, babe, sweetheart or any other condesending remark. She's 4'11 and 100lbs but she knows which end of a ballpeen to smack you with. She has a combination of short person syndrome and patronized woman all rolled into 1 when someone comes off like that.. When I see someone make such an obvious mistake, I just shake my head thinking you stupid, stupid fool and start backing up.. Kind of fun to watch tho. :twisted:

I think it depends on your manorizums. I work with a women who calls every one sweetie LOL she said it is easier then trying to recall a name. I will use babe or something to a woman if I don't remember there name when they say it, but the way I talk to them they can tell I am not flurting when I say it. Just like I call alot of guys hoss, boss or bro.. Makes life alot easier then trying to say something that you were going to say there name instead of being on the spot and fumbiling.. I dunno it is just one of those things that I just don't think about.. but then again I will also use miss or mam 2.. however if I can see it is getting them upset I usually start shutting up b4 my balls end up in a glass jar.. <-- cause that woud suck!

Must be a rough life. Always getting quicker service, cheaper prices, etc. I'll put up with it for the benefits. Hell, think of all the money I would have saved at the bar from free drinks! Free dinner! Always getting my doors opened for me. Seats pulled out! That'd be nice.

On the other hand, my wife took her car in for an estimate on some work that needed to be done. They quoted her one estimate, which just seemed rediculously high. So I took the same car back to the same place and got an estimate a little over half what they had given her. :shock:

Makes me glad all I have to worry about is keeping my "outdoor plumbing" from freezing up in the winter.

Too many factors involved in guessing why the estimates were different.

Most likely a crooked shop. But they would have prayed (or still pray) on others that aren't women. For instance, the elderly, or people that are completely ignorant of car stuff.

Hell, that's happened to me before! My rotors kept warping on my TBird. So every 7k to 10k miles I'd take it back and they'd turn them or replace them. Finally one time they were really bad and I had it done somewhere else. Turns out my calipers were broken and holding the pads on the rotors. The other place would have just kept milking me intentionally....or they were too stupid to figure out the problem.

Comeon guys, how many times have you bought something for $6.76 and paid with $7 and got two dimes and 4 pennies?

How many times has a lady gotten back a quarter for the same transaction?

If women TRULY want equal treatment then they should have it. But keep in mind

1. they'd have to be on the front lines in combat situations
2. they'd have the same standards for the Presidential Physical Fitness tests (4 chinups for girls and guys have to do 12? I smell BS!)
3. how about holding the door open for me once in a while?
4. how about 50% of men get to stay home and raise the kids
5. I've never been at a job where the girls had to clean the bathrooms.
6. You can have your lifetime for television, but I want 24 hours of the man show

Women like to think it's still a male orientated society, but it's not. EVERYTHING a guy does is because of a girl. We fight wars so you can have a place to live (not so much us, but other countries), we work at jobs we hate to have money to spend on ya or to impress ya, we shower.

If I had a nickle for every nice thing I did for a girl I didn't know I'd be rich. Letting them jump ahead of me in line at walmart, giving discounts at work, the ONLY time I've stopped on the side of the road to help someone was because it was a girl....

You got the better end of the stick. Deal with us calling you darlin', babe, and honey. Deal with us talking down to you like you don't understand "male" things. It could be much worse.

Dan you are obviously not married... Don't confuse hoping to get laid with kindness in general. I do some of those same things for women I don't know, but it isn't anything I wouldn't do for the elderly or anyone with their hands full. I am generally a nice guy to all.. unless of course you're on the road in front of me driving slow :evil: Then I don't care who or what is driving, as long as they either lead, follow or get the hell out of my way!!

hmmm...i'd have to agree...men being nice to women or going out of their way to help is motivated entirely by selfishness...either attempting to get laid blatantly or to make a good impression to hopefully get a shot later on when we are single...
