  • rockauto quality question.

    has anyone ordered the rubber lines for brakes from rockauto? do they seem of decent quality? or should i spend the extra 15 bucks and go to napa?

      Any of them from most parts stores are fine.

            I used to go with napa all the time but their parts arent as good as they once were. Had to go back several times to get the right brake shoes for my f150. If you can find a bumper to bumper around your area they are still good parts.

              I used to work at a parts store and we never had a raybestos part ever returned. They sell a lot of different break parts from hoses to pads to those little clips that you lose whne you are replacing brakes.

                ok just wondering, ive not dealt with rock auto yet, and didnt know if they used a cheap product and put brand names on them or not. thanks yall.

                      I don't think any parts store will sell you an inferior brake line.

                          I've bought parts from everyone and everywhere....when I want something decent I go to NAPA or Car-Quest...I cann't remember the last time I've had a problem with either that wasn't my fault.

                            i bought a distributer from rock auto a couple of weeks ago.works fine and fast shipplng. if i need something quicker, i get it local. most of the time they have different brands to choose from.
                            1960 willys pickup
                            1967 jeep cj5

                            1988 festiva
                            1989 festiva
                            1990 festiva for parts
                            1991 s-10

                              Most of the stuff I need I get locally at NAPA or Carquest. If they can't get me the part then I check Rock Auto. I haven't had a problem with NAPA, Carquest, or Rock Auto quality.
