    Surprise, surprise, surprise!!!!!

The ones that do rarely show up around here for sale, and then somehow manage to get sold before I can get there :banghead: :banghead: seem to be in the 600 to 1000 range, with an average of 125k miles on them.

But the others are definitely right, the higher the gas price, the higher the Festy price.

Dumb thieves go to prison, smart ones go to work for the Government.

    1988 L - 232K miles Batstiva
    1989 L - 247K miles Slick
    1990 L - 281K miles Orphan Annie
    Let the hoarding begin!!

I paid $150.00 for my 89 Carby (with the dreaded 4-spd, now updated to a 5-spd) No title, but I had 2 extra sets of titles and VIN's from parts festys. I paid $500 for the 89 Charcoal from Idaho with a 4-spd. Wish I had an extra 5-spd to put in it.

I agree about Festy prices being linked to gas prices, even more so for the metros.

I sell metros here in Mn. The XFi version (60+mpg) will fetch 3K to 6K believe it or not.

I also work on Metros (mobile Metro mechanic) customers often get a kick out of me pulling up in my Festiva....

It's like when I was a mobile air-cooled VW mechanic in Nor-Cal in the early 90's...I drove a Toyota van!...

      Because....45 MPG.

"dreaded" 4 spd? whats so wrong with the 4 spd? sure a 5 is better, but surely its better than an auto?
89 L, hopefully returning from the dead soon with a little more power...
