Oh ya lemme elaborate. I was half-asleep when I typed this.

Bought car in 2002 with 221,000 miles on original 1.3 liter.

I put approx 6,000 miles on it myself before deregistering it

Sold it to Darpien with a different engine. Darpien put a tach cluster into it with about 88,000 miles. That cluster was white in color and now has 127k miles, the speed started jumping around so he sourced a orange-tach cluster to relpace it and put that in & retired the white one.

So that = 39,000 miles on that white cluster

The orange one had about 102,000 miles on it. It now has 14x,xxx miles on it. So yeah.....that = about 40,000 additional miles that crazy mofo has put on that poor car.

So in all....it has something like 305-310 THOUSAND miles on it. BEAT THAT!!!

especially considering the body is almost mint, minus a couple dents or dings....it has glossy-as-hell paint & the panels could be easily corrected. The chassis is fine, not bent, no accidents ever! Suspension is awesome still, engine runs good (has like 120k at least on it by now). list goes on.

Where I live, the temperature in the winter is usually around -20 C, and the cold days are -30 or -40. The heaters definitely don't cut it and I have to use thick gloves on the steering wheel or else I can't feel my hands by the end of the trip. [/quote]

Yep, we get down there too. When it's -40°, the engine never warms up completely even if you have the front end plugged with cardboard. And you don't even think about trying to roll the window down(like at a drive-through). BUT, they always start, even if you don't plug them in.

This is all so true. I like the summer because I can put my windows down. But even though it's 12 years old it doesn't even hesitate to start on the coldest days, although I usually give it a break if it's that cold anway.
