Hey guys im new to the whole fetiva thing and im in love already. I just bought my festiva with a "blown motor" for $50.00. I got it home and the motor ran fine the carb had come loose i bought it planing a motor swap now i dont know what to do this lil thing runs great. its an 88 l plus. ANY IDEAS ive got acces to a whole gt escort for free and ive got the time but it runs so good. Id like to mess with the stock motor but im not sure....

Go with the BP from the Escort GT. This is a really good engine and it give some good HP.

thats what im thinking, im also thinking of turboing the stock engine my neighbor has a bunch of porshe turbos around off of 1.6 litre 924s he said i could have one if wanted sounds like fun but my b3 is carbed so i dunno fabricating is not a problem neither is machining so i dont know im in love with this car and ive had it home only 3 hoursComment

If I were you I would keep the B3 for a year or so and in the meantime, mod everything else you may want to mod. Do a little cheap work on the B3, maybe turbo it for fun to see what it's like.
After a year you'll know better what you want to do. Maybe you'll find another Festiva with a "real" blown motor for a swap!

well great i just saw or heard
what the guy was talking about. I started her up to go back into the garage and all of a sudden the motor had a terible rod knocking and smoked like an old train. Looks like its escort motor bound. Dern i was looking forward to 40 mpg. So its carbed i guess i need the whole harness and everything right...?
