Went to the JY today and they wanted $140 for regular wheels. This is off of a Mercury Tracer, wheels look almost identical to the stock festiva wheels (except a little larger)... i think this is little high, (i paid less for the car!!)... also wants $35 for a 2 generation ford probe steering wheel...

$140 doesn't sound too bad compared to my JY which charges $200 most of the time.Current cars:

IIRC my local UWrenchIt charges $10 for steel and $15 for alloy wheels left in the yard.
Also, $10 per tire on the rim.
Thus, a set of steel wheels with tires would cost around $80 or so for me.
I think $140 is high, unless the rims are almost perfect and the tires look new. Not to mention 30 days to return them if they don't balance.
If those were alloys in real good shape with good tires, then maybe that wouldn't be so bad.

Some of the yards around here charge upwards of 80 bucks a piece for aluminum rims.1988 p.o.s. (228,000 and still going)Comment
