Ok, so i posted i needed an automatic trans radiator in the FS area of ff.com.. and just found one this week. I went up to Fort Wayne, IN this week (any members from there?) and had an extra few hours so i looked up 2 JY's that were the closest... so we walked 5 miles there and found 2 Festies at B & N auto up there..... and it had this radiator.. so we quick got a bite to eat and went to the other JY to see what they had... and nothing as far as a radiator.
So we go back to the other JY and start pullin' the radiator, and 15 minutes later and oil all over my arms, it was out. $48 buck ($5 core) and it was mine... So the guy stuck it in a black garbage bag and back to the Hilton hotel we go with this radiator (told people i was shopping and it was a Picasso painting)
So i get back there and stick it in my tub and turn the hot water on and soak it for 2 hours while we ate... come back and the tub is FILTHY and oil stains everywhere... I thought i was going to be kicked out as soon as room service would find it, but cleaned it the best i could with what were bleached snow white towels. I meant to get a picture of it in the tub but didn't.
So then i got it packaged with the company we went out to see and it was ready to come home... put in send through on the plane and got home yesterday noon and then installed it that day...
Runs like a charm today! Thought it was hilarious that i got by with having a radiator in my tub at the Hilton!
