  • Final Drive gear ratios

My face will be red if I missed a similar question posting.

What are differences in the final drive ratios (ring & pinion) of Festiva and Aspire transaxels? Auto, stick, four speed, and five?

This forum is a great resource. I hope the sometimes dumb questions I ask might be help to others as well. Thanks to the administrators and thanks to all.

I know overall Aspires have lower gears than festivas. And the manual trans festiva is lower than the auto festiva. But the five speed has a overdrive which gives it the tallest final drive. Which is why everyone wants a five speed.

Discuss making performance enhancements to the OEM-spec engine in your Festiva or Aspire.

Well, I said my face might be red. This is exactly what I needed. I'm thinking that the Aspire has a ribbed case for... a bit of extra strength, or, the rest of the case is thinner material? That mount thing should be no big hill for a climber.
        Thanks much
