How much does a 5 speed tranny weigh? About.

I'm auctioning one off on ebay right now and haven't pulled it from the car yet so I don't know how much it weighs.

Hey, I weighed one and it was around 60 pounds. I think the one CarbonVmax sent me was less than 60 with the bottom brace on it (but that one was a 4 speed). What I did to weigh it was get on a scale and weight myself and then weighed myself holding the trans and subtracted the two number to get the weight. THat should get you really close

shipping for a new 5spr trans in a double wall box on a light pallet = about 75lbs.

that's what the shipping bill said for the new one we got at work said, years ago.

well i'm all of 135 wet and i can curl 2 tranies at a time, so i'd say they're fairly light..

they are light, i would have guessed around 50, but it seems their a little more than that.

You guys that are 120 lbs and whatnot ought to be heading down to the dragstrip and climbing in some drag cars or on a drag bike! Them boys like little folk driving their rides.

I'd do it, but they'd have to install a third lane down the middle to provide for the third car to evenly distribute my supermodel physique!
