  • Car detailing question.

What products do you use to detail your car?

    Such as:

    Tires- clean and blacken
    Wheels-clean and polish
Bumper blackening....I know Packrat mentioned Mothers Back to Black as his favorite.
Engine bay cleaning... Festiva GTX says Volcano Red is the bomb and has the pics as proof!
    Window cleaning
    Upholstery---fabric seats
    Carpet
    Dash
    Rear cargo/seat plastic
    Chrome

....and any other hints/tricks and products for cleaning and polishing

My Festiva is green, it doesn't see any chemicals. The rain washes the exterior. And about twice a year I pick up all the cans and wrappers off the floor.

        Hey STG,

Sorry about that. I searched "detailing" and the thread is under "car care products" in this forum. Once I started reading that thread, I remember, I had already read it...lol!

I knew I posted a decent reply about this earlier this week.

I use DWG's Ultra-Ion - I can apply it directly on a moderately dirty surface without water; no scratches with this stuff. I've even used to help others remove vandal's spray paint on vehicles not previously treated with it. They've been around since 1990. Pretty good stuff if ur looking for waterless alternatives.
