Question about pulling parts

I'm heading out the door in a minute and a light bulb went off. Figured somebody here would definately know the answer. Maybe it's been answered before and I apologize for not researching the topic, but I wanted to get it typed before I forgot about it. It sucks being an old blonde supermodel....no brains to start with and too old to remember that I am an airhead!

My cousin was talking about getting a Festy for his son and wants a manual tranny for the kid, even if he bought an auto and swapped over to a 5 speed. I remembered that I am taking the blue manual parts car to the crusher real soon. So, I thought I'd grab the clutch pedal and cable or mechanisms out in case he needs them for his kid's car.

that being said, what all do I need to grab off the manual parts car to use for an auto to manual tranny swap?

Clutch pedal, obviously, but do I need to grab any other clutch pedal bracketry, electrical doodads, or any thing else?

I would grab everything that unbolts from the car - someone sometime will need it

You will need the pedle asm, cable, engine plate, rear trans mount, both of the trans support brakets (the ones that bolt to the side of the block) shifter linkage... oh heck http://tinyurl.com/4zrzne all of that stuff.

Amen, strip it to the bone. Everything, you have multiple festys , you will see. Get every nut and bolt !! You'll wish you had.

I agree with Fresh. My uncle is about ready to scrap his parts car. I was up over the weekend just to grab some misc. wires and connectors, nuts and bolts just to have extra incase the need presents itself. (And... I needed a connector for the dash clock I bought!)

Thanks for all the info guys and sorry for not researching first. I was really pressed for time.

Also, I need to clarify something. Every nut and bolt will be removed. I was wanting to know what parts do I need to keep together to complete the manual swap. Keeping all those parts in a box for that expressed purpose of doing the auto to manual swap.

Sorry if I about gave you a heart attack Fresh. When these go to the crusher, there will be nothing but a skeleton.
