  • Festivas are like rabbits....................

When we say festivas are like rabbits on this board we don't joke around.

My Dad has had his festiva since brand new in '90. It was living happily by itself for 13 years, and then I buy one at a police auction for $62.50. One year later I buy 2 more for $100, one for parts and the other to rebuild. This week I bought four more for $400. I think my festiva must be a female because I keep getting more and my dad doesn't. My mom can't stand my car collection so I had to hide the most recent additions to the family in a cheap storage lot, away from the house.

After I got the last one, my neighbor came over and told me to quit leaving 2 of them alone in the garage so they would stop multiplying like rabbits You can't beat the prices on these :bunny:'s ! 4 for $500 is 8)

I have been told by the wife to thin the herd
My parts car is almost completely stripped of usable stuff, so it will be the first to go.

:drunken: somebody call a doctor, cause I think I have a festiva addiction...

Since getting to drive mine my fiance' wants one of his own to build a big boomin stereo in. I hope he gets another male because we don't have the space for a whole Festiva family. It's bad enough that we already have The Beast (station wagon), Puddin' (Nissan) and Marvin (Festy). So far none of them seem to be cross-fertile (unless Marvin came from a crossing of The Beast and Puddin').

Happened to us too. I had one, then sold it to my brother. Bought another one shortly after I got rid of the first one. I later got the first one back from my brother, so we then had two white ones in our driveway. My dad ended up with a smurf blue one shortly after that. The smurf blue color must be a recessive gene in the white ones.

Long ago I read about a guy up around Boston who at the time was president of the Nash Metropolitan club (just Google, or see for instance http://home.insightbb.com/~hoosiermets/ )

He decided he needed a parts car and put an ad in the paper. By the end of the weekend he had 18 of them.
