  • How fast have you gone in your Festiva?

Now, I know i just posted a thread on improving gas mileage: http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=14723
but on the flip side I was wondering how fast everyone has gone in their beloved jewel? I have gone 75 mph which was floored with 3 cylinders (this was when my 3rd cylinder had 1/3 the compression it was supposed to) which isn't bad. I haven't topped out my festiva YET b/c of my recent engine rebuild, but they did only put 85 MPH as a max on the speedo for a reason...... Please also include engine if not already obvious.

-"Hairlipstiva" 1991 GL 5spd (swapped from an auto), rolling on Enkei 14x6 +38 with 195/45/14 Toyo's, Jensen MP5720 CD deck, tach install, LED strip in cluster, down position rear wiper, FMS springs, Gabriel shocks on 4 corners, Acura Integra short shifter
-Escort GT 91 donor car with BP, G5M-R tranny to be dropped in the little guy...
    -Aspire brake swap COMPLETE!

BP w/ F-series trans, it got a bit scary so i slowed down

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Stock B3 can hold its own most of the time. I think 85mph.

As fast as a B6 festy will go i guess... dino how fast that is! 85-90 is an at least once a week thing most of the time, i'd guess somewhere in the 110-120 range, maybe a bit more, is about as fast as i've had it. At one point i was on a slight down hill and i was going fast enough it was getting pretty squirly (on coilovers and aspire brakes) so i decided to slow down. On stock susp it gets a little scary at 90+

I've kept up with someone at 110 MPH. I know the car has more in it than that too, but it gets a bit scary there!
