This car has been all over the net, I want one!!! Only in California for now, but lets hope they branch out. I know they are weird looking, but talk about good mpg 300+-

I'm a little hunk of tin, nobody knows what shape I'm in. I've got four wheels and a running board, I'm not a Chevy, I'M A FORD!
Interesting, wouldn't want one myself, can you imagine repair costs lol. Thats where they will get you. Probably like $145652556552 if the battery breaks.
I could be wrong, but judging on the price of the car, this company is actually trying to make real hybrid and all electric cars more viable, so hopefully they keep the repair costs down. Of course you have to take them to a Aptera specialist, but if they are employeed by the company hopefully they regulate some of it. Who knows. I am hoping for the best :-)
$27,000 for the electric and $30,000 for the hybrid does not sound so bad for this car with the actual milage/distance it can get out of the electric and hybrid version.

It's still not really a money saver for most people. Figure your average american drives 12,000 miles per year. With gas at $5/gal and 30mpg in a base corolla, that's $2000/year. Assuming this got unlimited mpg and never broke down, it would only save them $2000/year. If they drove way more it might save them money before the batteries died, but who knows yet how long they'll last.
They'll sell like hotcakes, people want to look green.
it might not save much money, but I bet noone else in town will have one, so its unique!
Come to think of it... noone else in town has a festiva or an LTD wagon either, so I guess I don't need one of those strange looking things to be unique But can you imagine me rolling up to deliver a pizza in one of those
I wonder if they say 300mpg because you get like..100 miles out of the electric charge, and then 200 miles out of the gas tank. So in essence, it would be like putting a bigger gas tank on a car.
it is really interesting if it turns out to be true, but they claim after the electric charge is gone you get 130mpg until you decide to recharge it. If you only drive 50 miles at a time on a full charge it works out to 1000mpg , at 75 miles it is like 450mpg and at about 120 miles ...which is the distance it will go on a full charge, you would get about 300mpg. Thats at highway speeds. They go on to say there was a diesel engine they tested but it will not pass CA. emmisions that was getting 230mpg after the electric ran out.
