  • new parts for aircare?

i just bought a new cat and O2 sensor to help my 93 egt pass aircare (rip off). dose it take any time to (break in) the new parts or should i just bring it in asap? so far i have added this adative that apperantly helps it pass, put chevron 94 in it (omg that was expensive lol) and removed the air filter. any other tricks you know of?

I was told to run the lowest octane for emmisions because you might not burn all the octane in higher octane gas and cause it to fail.

94 octane is no where enough for a 13.1 engine .

How did you build that to achieve that comp ratio ?

Why do you need that much compression?

i dont know how i did it, all i did that would affect the comp. is deck the head 20 thou. 13:1 is high for a street motor but not that high for racing, ive seen hondas with 16:1 that i thought was crazy high.

I dont think decking the head will net you at 13:1 more like 10.25:1

Don't let it idle before the test. Run it up to 1000 1200 rpm for a min. before the test.

Old school trick....works every time.....add about a quart of alcohold per 4 gallons of gas. I go to the harware store and buy de-natured alcohol. 'Dry-GAs' also works.

No break in time required. May be a good idea to disconnect the battery and reset the ECU to re-bias the ECU.

no need to disconnect power. Just do three WOT accells.

and the denatured alcohol is the same idea as using E85.

Unless I'm way off base, compression ratio is a function of maximum to minimum cylinder *volume* not cylinder pressure
