Ouch that sucks! especially after seeing all the work you've put into it

Thats why I used the hood pins that just slide back and you can't remove. And the advice given to me was WHENEVER th hood is closed make sure its pinned, don't reley on doing it later.

i havent replaced it yet looks as though the windshield needs to come out and drill the tach welds, the cowls where cheap online the only thing mine is a little bent but im sure a bodyman could get it straigh, its not oem its just a knock off re pop but im sure once done you wont know

I'd suggest just taking it to your local shop and having them tap down the rip, weld it back together and fill/sand smooth... Replacing the cowl means removing the windshield, I believe the dash needs to come out too, plus drilling out the spot welds and welding in the new piece.

My bodyshop did a great job by tapping everything down and welding it... The SECOND time it happened, the rips weren't nearly as bad.

PS - this is why I converted to 4 pins instead of 2 on Casper.

                            PSS - Sorry to hear.
