  • A Festiva Story

Hi. I'm new here. Better yet, I have a story to tell. A story about a festiva...

So back, many years ago, when the festiva was still new, it was gifted to my youngest sister, Amanda, who, older than me by 8 years, drove the festiva far and wide, and well enjoyed its' company. Once she met her future husband, and became his future wife, she gifted the festiva back to my father, who then drove it, having lost his buick century in a terrible crash. After roughly one year, my father decided to buy another buick, and the festiva fell into darkness.... for five long years, she nestled in the distant crook of the garage, and for five years, she waited. Until just two years ago, she was moved from the darkness into the sun! The glorious sun...!... and stayed there, unmoving... for 2 more years.

Watching the comings and goings of the humans.. the festiva thought she was lost forever, until a new girl came, begging the festiva for her services, wishing to be transported anew! After the terrible thievery of her own buick century...

The festiva wished to move once more! And willed herself to be fixed, anew! A new engine, radiator, water pump, fuel pump, and many hoses and such later, the grateful festiva purred to life, a fresh start, a new beginning!

90 automatic 3 speed. 3 speeds are Scoot, Go, and Zoom!

Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not ok, it is not the end.

Festiva stories like that always make me cry. The festiva got kicked out of the garage because of the evil Buick Century ?? Thats not right. Im glad the festiva willed itself back into use. I hope it lives happily ever after . Ill try to remember that story at bedtime. I esp liked the fresh part !!

Anyone else remember the cartoon about the little blue car who got all used up and sent to the scrap yard only to transformed into a hotrod by a kid? What was the name of that toon? Man, this is going to drive me nuts...

Why'd it need a new engine? I've got one in my '93 that came from a wrecked car, then sat in a driveway, uncovered, for 2 years. The things are really hard to kill. How did someone manage to kill the 1st one?
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

I know it was a Disney 'toon from the 50's. That was one of the models for the movie 'Cars'.

I love a good Festiva rescue story, and this one is tops. Glad to see another kept on the road. Does it have a name?

What's the deal with these '90 Sport models? This is the second one I've seen in a couple weeks.
