  • WOOHOO! Bought #2 today!

Went and bought my 2nd(4th overall) Festiva! A White 93 GL! Has the factory aluminum rims(missing 1 ) A/C , cargo cover is there in great shape! Interior is almost perfect, no rips or tears. I am going to need a fender though. It was in a minor accident. Not bad, but bad enough. The fender is crinkled enough to warrent just getting another and the parking light is smashed. Which is no biggie because Id bought those clears to use on Crusher. Now Ill take it a different direction and go with all clears on the White one. If there were a bad thing about the car its that its an automatic. But it only has 86000 on it, so all is good. Especially since this is only 1 of only about half a dozen or so that Ive seen since Ive moved to Bainbridge and the 1st Ive seen for sale.
Im gonna pick it up tomorrow. Ill post some pics when I get it home!

I know! I lucked out on this one too! It was at a mom and pop dealership sitting behind a fence. So I stopped one day and asked about it. The salesman said it wasnt for sale. So I went back a couple weeks later and asked the owner of the place about it. He said some couple had owned it and they(the car lot) had replaced the fuel pump for them but they hadnt come back for it yet. He said to keep checking. So I drove by last Friday and there it sat with $950 on it. I thought "well it doesnt hurt to look at least." Looked it over. Dented fender. No biggie. Busted parking light. No biggie. Missing aluminum rim. Kind of a biggie. Open the door. Whoa! Talk about a clean interior! And then I checked the odometer and about fell over when I seen 86*** on it. I told them "Ill be back!" Went in today and with tax it came to $1034.

Pics tomorrow I promise! I couldnt pick the car up today.

Nice deal! Place a want ad in the FS section for a wheel or watch Ebay I see single alloys there often.

Nice! There seems to be alot of nice automatics coming up for sale now. They were overlooked for so long, now they're about all thats left. Three of my four now are autos. Great for city. I'm really starting to enjoy not having to shift all the time.

Im thinking about going up to 13". Just because of the cost of 12" tires now. Other than that and putting a different stereo in it(I hate factory radios) and changing the front lights to all clear. Im going to leave it alone.

I dunno. Every other car it's passanger side. Festi's like gettin it on the drivers side. Thats how invisitiva became partstiva.
Of course the red makes it go faster..

I gotta say after the LX and it having everything. This GL let me down a little. Very little. Rear wiper, rear defrost, manual mirrors. But it does have the matching bumpers and side trim. Im kind of thinking it was an older person that owned it because of the miles on it and the lack of options. Im not complaining mind you. Ill take a low optioned GL with 86k on it any day of the week. Runs like a dream too! Shifts smooth. AC needs a shot of freon, but it kicked in when I turned it on. It definately needs new tires.
                          And now the promised pics!

                          The worst of the damage.

This is what happens when you drive 60mph on badly weather checked tires.

                          And finally the proof.

AND FINALLY THE SEXY SOB THAT FOUND IT!

Honestly, is there something in the white paint that keeps it from not being faded. Every Festiva I see that is another color always seemed to be faded on some part of the car.

Man, thats nice. You probably had to pay more for that movie star to pose next to your car then you did for the car. That is a major snag a roo !!! That tire wear concerns me some. Reminds me a lot of festdiva when I got it. Nice going monsoon !! I knew it would be the left frt fender.
