He chose his investment automobile poorly in 1989. Rare for sure, but worth anything? Nah, not that much- not close!! If those beaters were reliable in any way, they'd still be around today, like our little Festys. Betcha about 1,000 miles into it that car will be on the side of the road already. It is cool to see though.

Seriously, what would you pay for it? Maybe $2500 just for the rarity and condition?
Remember "I" before "E", except as in Budweiser.

I don't think its worth 12K but they are rare. I had a couple Yugos back in the day, they don't even compare to Festiva's. There is a Yugo at the local PaP with a nice interior.

If it wasn't for the fact that he wants way too much for it and also that finding parts for it would be near impossible, it would be an interesting car to purchase. I don't think I could leave it sitting in a showroom. I'd have to drive it around just to see the looks I got from other people. LOL

There was a plce in Texas called Orion that sold Yugo parts. I had some really odd Yugo parts, rear louvers, alloy wheels, sunroof, NOS floor mats, etc. I think I still have some seats at my parents house.

When the Yugos first came out, I considered one because they were so cheap. However, almost from the start, i was hearing about problems with them and decided against getting one. I'm glad I did now.
